Causeway Coast Adventure Racing (CCAR) wishes to promote the sport
of adventure racing in Northern Ireland, and to provide, in
particular for the needs of the novice racer.

The Rat Race is a physical and mental
adventure challenge that uses the cityscape as its playground. It is
a team event in which participants hike, bike, abseil, climb and
kayak the streets, structures, waterways and urban landscape, whilst
navigating their way around a course that's only revealed to them
hours before they begin.

If you are new to the events
they have been created for the outdoor enthusiast who likes a
challenge. The courses are designed for teams of 2 and 4 to compete
in multidiscipline events such as mountain biking, trekking,
kayaking and occasionally a few other things involving water and
ropes.

Source2sea is the
new way to challenge yourself by following the course of any river
from its source to where it meets the sea. This site has been
designed to provide a one-stop base to help you to organise your own
source to sea challenge.
